Over the past 4 years we have organised balsam bashing sessions at Grange Quarry, Skipton Road.
Over the past four years volunteers from Bilton Conservation Group have spent time pulling out Himalayan Balsam, at Grange Quarry.
A small group of volunteers will be supporting HBC Countryside Ranger Sam Walker on the next stage of reconstruction.
In 1999 the conservation group decided to celebrate the new millennium by creating a 220 metre permissive footpath from Willow Wood, behind Tennyson Avenue, Bilton to link with the old abandoned ma
It has been over 40 years since it was possible (although probably illegal) to walk from Bilton across the Nidd Viaduct and along the disused Pateley Bridge railway line to Ripley.
