After close inspection of the weir some weeks ago by The Environment Agency & North Yorkshire County Council representatives, it looks as though nothing is to be done to repair the flood damage. The philosophy being that Weir was built to serve a purpose to service the nearby Mill. The mill is no longer there, so the river reverts to it's historic flow.
