Readers should note that we(Bilton Conservation Group) are aware that this is/was commercial conifer planting (circa 1929) which had reached maturity. Sad though it is to lose the woodland it was a fully licensed activity, we would have lost that magnificent view sooner or later.
It will be replanted as part of the felling license agreement.
