Bilton Beck Bridge

Mike Gurney, NYCC Countryside Ranger and Keith Wilkinson MBE, Honorary Secretary inspect the new Bilton Beck Bridge which was officially opened on 17th August 2016; re-opening this popular Public Right of Way which had been closed on safety grounds since the violent storms of 2015.

Let's hope this stout structure will be around for many years to carry the thousands of visitors who come this way on the long-distance Harrogate Ringway Footpath (20 miles) or just for a short stroll through our beautiful Nidd Gorge Woodlands and riverside.

We are grateful to the close working relationship between Harrogate Borough Council and North Yorkshire County Council which achieved a successful conclusion to a much appreciated crossing of Bilton Beck.
